All our New England barns include a traditional board & batten walk-out door with Z-brace, providing functional authenticity to each building we craft. During the design process clients can also choose to add other doors from our vast inventory of options. Handmade selections include double swing-out utility doors and garage doors, loft doors, Dutch doors for horses and other livestock, single or double sliding doors for convenience and space-saving, and we even offer a gorgeous electric overhead door option that maintains the barn-door-look with all the convenience of the click of a button.
Crafted using premium grade kiln-dried tongue & groove door boards and 5/4” & 6/4” battens and Z braces, our doors are stable and durable. And, for clients looking for insulated barns, their doors can be insulated too.
All of our door kits are a complete package including traditional pintle hinges, our unique signature sliding oak latch, and barrel bolt or chain bolts to lock the door from inside. Other door options include a keyed deadbolt, iron thumb latch, cane bolts and a line of our own hand forged hinges.
As rugged as our barns yet with smooth functionality, our handmade doors combine weathertight integrity and security with all the timeless style and charm of early New England.
